Get ready for the next installment of our Thursday evening programming, Parched: Speaker Series!
Join us on February 5, 2026, at 6pm in the S’ed̲av Va’aki Community Room for a very special guest lecture featuring Marie Gladue, the artist behind The Healing Dance at Hooghan that is on display at the museum.
Marie Gladue will be presenting virtually, in-person attendees are still welcomed.
The Parched speaker series showcases artists featured in the changing exhibit at SVM, which explores the role of water in the Southwest through an artistic lens.
Ya’at’eeh! Marie Gladue grew up a part of the Edgewater Clanin the beautiful homeland of Dzil Yijiin (Black Mesa) located in Northern Arizona. In working with Navajo communities, around environment, social, and healing justice issues, she reminds people our Natural Laws are our laws that call for taking care of land, water, and air.
